We like to play a total
point game against each other. We putt 4 balls at the right bumper so
they deflect into the scoring area trying to get as many points using
the 1 to 4 points designated by the house. Then we each putt 4 balls at
the left bumper and finish with 4 balls straight into the house. We total
the points, move the BumperPutt to a different spot and start again. It's
a great game!

I just got my Bumper
Putt the other day. I started by trying to get as many points as I could
using 10 balls. When I came up short with the first few putts the circles
became blocked, so I started aiming at the deflectors and found that this
was a great way to practice trying to get as many points as possible.

A
variation of the Mcnut game we played the other day was: the player with
the honour putts their first 3 balls at the left bumper and the person
putting second putts 3 at the right bumper, then everyting is fair game.
We found that it helped you focus on the target and it created a lot of
different angles for shots later in the game.

A
game we play starts by placing a ball so it rests against each of the
bumpers. You then putt 6 balls (or as many as you like) trying to move
the ball resting against the bumpers into the target area. You get very
good at reading the angles so both the ball being putted and the ball
resting against the bumper enter the scoring area. Total the points
of all 8 balls using the 1 to 4 scoring on the target area.
